  • Yes, we are developing this concept. Mike and Marcy Jones will be evaluating and determining the feasibility of this idea and will be possibly forming a committee to move it forward. If you have suggestions or ideas please forward them to our committee.

How far is the hotel from the Expo Center?

  • The hotel is right across the street from the Expo Center; however the Expo Center is a huge facility, so it would be a fairly good walk. Your event registration includes a parking pass at the Expo Center and our plan for Friday evening and Saturday is to have a shuttle service to and from the host hotel.

Is there anything published as to the cost of dinners and how to sign up for them?

  • We are still working out some of the final costs; final prices will be available soon. Based on our preliminary estimates a member and his/ her spouse or guest could participate in every activity and it would cost approximately $275 for the whole event. This would not include travel or lodging or other meals etc. not included in our plans.

Are the dinners Thursday and Friday formal, is a jacket and tie required?

  • Everything is casual, I am sure some folks will dress up a little more for the banquet however, nothing too formal is required.

Is there a dinner Saturday evening?

  • There is no dinner on Saturday evening; the Anniversary Banquet is Friday evening. The event will close Saturday afternoon with a Celebration Closing Reception after the Judging and Awards presentation.

Are there shops and restaurants within walking distance of the host hotel?

  • Because of the proximity of the host hotel with the Expo Center, there does not appear to be many shops or restaurants within walking distance.

We are participating in a bus trip to Louisville with our local club but would really like to have our car there, do you have any suggestions?

  • Something to think about, for those of you traveling on a bus, airplane or do not want to trailer your car yourself but still want to have their car in Louisville, FedEx Custom Critical, one of our sponsors, is going to have special rates for car transportation to and from Louisville for our AACA members. That means you would not have to drive or trailer your car and still have it available to drive locally, tour and put in the car show.
  • FedEx Shipping Program

FedEx will offer “truck load” rates to the event as well as special event discounts for individual moves. Additional information and rates can be found on the FedEx Program tab
